Internet was created by J.C.R. Licklider and Leonard Kleinrock . the first website was http://info.cern.ch/ and was first published online in 1991 on the 6th of August. TCP= Transmission control protocol IP= Internet Protocol HTTP= Hypertext Transfer Protocol. Http is used to display/format texts by usings tags which the web browser uses to control the look of the page eg <"bold">text<"/bold">,text<"/undeline">. URL= Universal/Uniform resource locator DNS=Domain Name System

During todays tutorial we were asked to look as websites and answer questions on it relating to authenticity.
a. Sites appear to look authentic due to there appearence, naviagtion, information, quality, sources, domain address.
b.four clues that suggest that a website is a spoof are the content, does it contain what it should, the webpage address, is it hosted? the appearance of the website, do all the links work? does it have spelling errors? and lastly does it have a contact or about me page.
www.haggishunt.scotsman.com This apperear to not be authenic beacuse it uses a website making domain,has advertisements,does not display publishing information.
http://www.molossia.org/countryeng.html This page appears to be authenic because it not only states it is offical but it also is .org and doesnt use other domains,uses a email address associated with the site. "The Republic of Molossia bears no relation of any kind to the ancient Greek nation of the same name. All text and images on these webpages are copyright 1999 XXII - 2008 XXXI, the Ministry of Propaganda, Republic of Molossia. All rights reserved. The Government of the Republic of Molossia takes no responsibility for the content of external links." This page is best viewed using Microsoft Internet Explorer." states this on the bottom of the home page.
C. www.martinlutherking.org i expect this site to be authentic because its address is a .org and state a fullname without any numbers,dots or slashes. This website appear to not be copywrited and is hosted by another domain www.stormfront.org Martin Luther King His Famous Speach "i have a dream" He won the Noble Peace prize he used the prize money tofurther the cival rights movement he was a part of. "....was named Man of the Year by Time magazine in 1963; and became not only the symbolic leader of American blacks but also a world
figure."http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peace/laureates/1964/king-bio.html
D. The website is very well maintained, good appearnce, no spelling errors, contains alot of information appears to be authentic.
E. After viewing the site it appear to be not as it seems from the website address, the site is totally agaist Martin Luther King and his ideas.
